This award will recognize those who continue his legacy of making strides in representing, empowering, and humanizing the Tennessee Valley GLBT Community.

She has been a mother to our church and GLBTS people. She is a straight black woman and accepting of all people. She had a gay brother who died from HIV/AIDS. She also has a lesbian daughter. She lives a strong Christian faith and is an equally strong representative for the GLBTS community. She has served on the board of directors and clerk of the Rock MCC Church. She is very active in the children church ministry, the Rock MCC choir, and the Strides of March. Her loyalty to our church, community, God and family demonstrates a true leader of the GLBT community.
